Lit & Fig

Lake Joy, Washington

Lit & Fig began as Saffron Writes, a writing and editing consultancy. However, the founder desired to expand into interior decorating. To maintain a cohesive image, we embarked on renaming the business to reflect this new dimension while preserving its connection to the publishing realm. Once the name (a clever nod to both literal and figurative aspects) and logo were established, we moved on to creating a website. For brand enrichment, we developed a custom photography approach through a multi-photo shoot strategy. This allowed us to showcase her interior designs and extensive book projects, seamlessly integrating her diverse business into one unified website. Inspired by the look and feel of a dark wood library and the moody tropical sun porch from The Graduate, we built the house of Lit & Fig.

“Mallory is magnificently kind, empathic to a fault, and a joy to work with. She’s never without a new idea to consider, and elevates all that she touches. I especially appreciated her insight and partnership renaming my business.”

— Nancy Cortelyou, founder of Lit & Fig
